Novell, getting bolder, getting smarter, getting better.

Novell announces that Novell as a stand-alone product will no longer be sold. Novell now has gone Linux and the future is bright for all of us.
The new Suse Linux O/S and Novell application/server suite will be called "Open Enterprise Server". Novell is firmly embedded in a number government and business institutions, this gives Linux the opportunity to really spread its wings in places where it matters most.
The future is bright for Linux and everyday it is getting just a little brighter. The Novell / Linux companionship is a team of players who could stand up to the Microsoft Giant. This gives Novell what they have needed most, Desktop and Server.
Furthermore, a respectable company such as Novell - betting the company on our Penguin friend, only further legitimizes Linux and all of its possibilities.
Maybe it is time all of us start looking a little closer at Novell. A possible, soon to be industry leader. If it were a movie, we could call it, "Novell Reloaded."
Personally, I have always been a Novell fan. So, I am rooting for them. Novell was/is a fantastic server. It is fast, light and committed to its job of being one thing - a server. Novell was quickly dominated by MS because the lack of vision with the Internet. By the time they were prepared to make the move, MS and Linux had dominated that growing industry.
But Novell's bold new vision of a Linux and Novell marriage will carry them off from their previous failure into a winning scenario. I believe the Linux community does need a corporate leader (Meaning someone to legitimize Linux - Not to lead it), a leader who has a long tradition of enterprise computing. This is Novell's turf and as long as they maintain the Open Source Attitude, God Bless Them. :)
