VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol)
1. VoIP allows players to speak to one another through their PCs while continuing to play. Unlike voice recognition, which parses incoming voice signals from players, recognizes certain words and phrases then triggers events based on what was spoken, VoIP captures, compresses then broadcasts over a LAN or the Internet complete and accurate exchanges between players.
