MAC (Media Access Control)
1. A MAC is a unique identifier used to provide security for wireless networks. Every wireless 802.11 device has its own MAC address hard-coded into it. When a network uses a MAC table, only those 802.11a radios whose MAC addresses are entered in that table can operate over the network.
