Library1. A collection of programs kept with a computer system and made available for processing purposes. The term often refers to a collection of library toutines written in a given programmin glanguage such as C or Pascal. 2. A collection of subroutines and functions stored in one or more files, usually in compiled form, for linking with other programs. Libraries are one of the earliest forms of organised code reuse.
