Level 2 Advance Transfer Cache
1. The 256 KB Level 2 Advance Transfer Cache (ATC) delivers a much higher data throughput channel between the Level 2 cache and the processor core. 512 KB L2 Advance Transfer Cache is available on 0.13 micron technology PentiumŪ 4 processors, while 0.18 micron technology Pentium 4 processors utilize a 256 KB L2 Advance Transfer Cache. Features of the ATC include: Non-Blocking, full speed, on-die level 2 cache, 8-way set association, 512-bit or 256-bit data bus to the level 2 cache, data clocked into and out of the cache every clock cycle.
