DCT (Discrete Cosine Transformation)
1. DCT is a process that converts images from three-dimensions (3D) to two-dimensions (2D) by using the Discrete Cosine (DC) coefficient to examine the luminance of each block of pixels used to form an image. This process is typically used in MPEG and JPEG image compression.
