AP (Access Point)
1. A wireless Access Point is a hub that connects many wireless clients to a LAN or to the Internet. An Access Point can be a standalone hardware device or a computer with a wireless network adapter and appropriate software. Wireless Access Points are available for 802.11a, 802.11b, and Dual band 802.11 a/b (Access Points with both 802.11a and 802.11b capability).
